How We Compile the Preferred Properties Directory

Why This Directory Exists

Across the United States, a number of independently owned and operated real estate brokerages share the name “Preferred Properties” — yet have no business connection to one another. We created this directory to give homebuyers, sellers, and agents a single, organized reference point for identifying these brokerages by location, and to help each business stand out clearly online under its own name.

Inclusion Criteria

A brokerage is considered for inclusion in this directory if it meets the following:

• Operates under a business name containing “Preferred Properties” (or a close variant)
• Is an independently owned and operated real estate brokerage (not a franchise location of a brand unrelated to this naming)
• Maintains an active, publicly accessible business presence (website, listing service profile, or verifiable contact information)
• Holds an active real estate license in good standing with its state regulatory authority

Verification Process

Before a brokerage is added, our editorial team cross-references the business name, address, and licensing status against the relevant state real estate commission’s public license lookup tool. We also review the brokerage’s own website and public listings (e.g., Zillow, Realtor.com) to confirm the business is active and the information presented in our directory — name, location, agent count, and specialties — is accurate at time of publication.

How Listings Are Maintained

Directory entries are reviewed periodically for accuracy. If a brokerage closes, rebrands, or changes ownership, we update or remove the listing accordingly. Each brokerage profile reflects the most recent information available to our editorial team at the time of its last review. If you represent a brokerage listed here and notice outdated information, please see the correction process below.

What This Directory Is — and Isn’t

This directory is an editorial reference tool. It is not a referral service, a lead-generation arrangement with any listed brokerage, or an endorsement of any business’s services. Inclusion in this directory does not imply a business relationship, partnership, or paid placement.
